In this fast paced environment you must be able to prioritize tasks, work within deadlines, taking a pragmatic and considered approach, paying close attention to details. You will need to employ strong oral and written communication skills, necessary to effectively communicate issues, risks and progress on complex processes to multiple stakeholders including Front Office, IT, Product Control, Middle Office, Quantitative Analytics and Market Risk. The PMO Lead will have the following characteristics:
•A proven track record of PMO work within the Investment Banking and Consultancy industry •Previous experience of working in a large IT Project Office •Strong EXCEL and PowerPoint skills
•Ability to assume ownership of and optimize current processes
•Strong Governance & Stakeholder management experience •Highly organized and be competent and confident organizing others within a PMO context
•Ability to think critically, analyze workflows and data, draw conclusions and suggest potential solutions to mitigate risk exposure and/or improve efficiency
•A professional, mature approach to project management
•Ability to influence key decision makers, peer groups and functions outside direct control
•Ability to excel in a structured but complex working environment

Qualifications
Key Responsibilities: Under direction of the Programme Manager, The PMO Lead will be accountable for the following responsibilities:
•Utilize proficient Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills to document detailed processes and business requirements.
•Maintain financial controls and systems for recording, monitoring, forecasting and budgeting of all project expenditure
•Monitor Risk & Issue management & escalation
•Task tracking i.e. capture & manage to close all approvals/deliverables
•Fully support infrastructure and build projects including administration, organisation of project meetings and minutes
•Organise and facilitate closure of project and complete benefit analysis at the end of the project
•Responsible for tracking performance against new SLA's, to ensure there are no delays for critical work-streams
•Maintain existing departmental and Project Office policies and procedures
•Continue to update and improve project methodologies
•Produce a weekly performance report and monthly Project Status report
•MI & Report generation i.e. Steering Committee / Working Group packs.
•Support all Project and Programme Managers with day to day running of project admin tasks
•Review, collate, maintain and highlight changes to project plans
•Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to effectively communicate issues, risks and progress on complex processes to multiple stakeholders including Front Office, IT, Trade Capture and Finance Management.
•Self-initiate, work productively when unsupervised and multitask across multiple concurrent projects. •Prioritize tasks, work within deadlines, taking a pragmatic and considered approach, paying close attention to details.
•Clear presentation skills to delivery programme status providing transparency to sponsors and stakeholders. •Has the confidence and ability to convincingly structure, summarise, defend and present recommendations. Qualifications:
•Educated to degree level or equivalent
•Possess Project Management Qualifications (Prince 2 / PMP) – not mandatory Skills:
•Strong analytical skills
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to interact professionally with users, managers and executives
•Strong computer skills, especially Excel, Visio, Power Point and SharePoint
•Banking and/or consultancy background and an understanding of structured program management in the banking arena
•A proven track record of successfully supporting highly complex projects within a banking environment
