The Project Manager will lead and manage multiple, complex business and technology projects though to successful completion by following a structured project management methodology and approach that aligns with PMI standards. Throughout the project life cycle, the Project Manager will work closely and collaboratively with sponsors, key stakeholders, vendors and project team members (Business Analysts, IT, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Sales, HR, Compliance, Legal, General Managers…) to ensure that the product, service or solution implemented fully meets the costs, time and quality expectations of the client.

This is a 12 Month Contract

The ideal candidate possesses:
Bachelors degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science or business administration
PMP certified
8-10 years hands-on project management experience, preferably in the financial services, health care or real estate sectors
Working knowledge and experience with ERP systems, core Business Systems and Conversion projects
Knowledge of end-to-end Purchasing Process (PR, PO, Approvals, Shipping, Receiving, AP) and Systems
Knowledge of CapEx Budgeting and Tracking
Experience managing field rollout deployments
Proven experience managing multiple medium to large sized complex projects from initial requirements though to implementation and hand-off to the operations and support organization
Good understanding of the software development life cycle methodology and quality assurance processes and practices
Good understanding of change management practices and processes that address organization’s change readiness
Experience working with cross-functional groups (eg. Operations, Marketing, Finance…)
Excellent verbal and written communication/documentation skills
Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels of the organization
Ability to develop and deliver presentations that are clear and that achieve the intended results
Presents their point of view confidently and persuasively
Interacts effectively with the target audience to obtain buy-in on difficult issues (e.g., proposed changes in business process or culture)
Facilitates sharing of information and ideas, assisting individuals and groups in reaching consensus; negotiates the needs of diverse groups
Customer centric
Proactively manages client expectations by:
communicating issues, implications, risks, and results
defining and prioritizing issues, problems, and opportunities
gaining consensus on what needs to be done
recommending approaches and solutions
clearly communicating scope, timing, cost, deliverables and resources

Demonstrates knowledge of current and leading technology (cloud based)
Identifies and applies opportunities for using technologies to support business objectives
First hand experience with ERP systems (including GL, AR, AP, HR, Payroll, CRM) and Conversion projects
Competent with Google+, Google Apps, MS Project, Visio
Web, SEO and Social Media
Database and ETL experience
Oracle Hyperion – Esbase, WFP, HFM
Conducts focus groups to identify needs and determine strengths and weaknesses in business processes
Recommends an IT project or proposed operational best practice to improve a business process
Work with Operations or Business Unit to ensure smooth transition of Change via appropriate Training, Process & Procedures
Participates in strategy or other management meetings with clients
Provides assurance to the client that the strategy will support the business need
Experience with Vendor Management and Third Party Consultants
Assesses the potential impact of a product or service in terms of:

acceptance testing
training needs
work process changes
staffing changes
deployment
support & issue resolution

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Securing Sponsor and leadership approval to initiate the project
Developing and publishing the project charter
Working with business analysts and project stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are clearly documented, understood and approved
Defining and documenting the project scope, objectives and key deliverables and securing the required approvals
Developing, managing, and monitoring the project budget, resource plan, risks, issues and change management plans
Preparing and executing the overall project plan and managing all project dependencies
Defining the work, time and costs estimates and forecasts
Managing progress to requirements and monitoring and controlling project work
Status Reporting to the sponsor and key stakeholders
Managing sponsor and stakeholder expectations and communications
Proactively addressing and resolving project issues as they arise
