Job Description     The focus of this role is to lead process design and improvement projects utilizing proven Process or Industrial Engineering methods, concepts and principles within a retail merchandising based business enterprise. Primary responsibilities include hands-on process designs, evaluate data analysis, design process monitoring and work sampling activities, piloting and testing, problem solving, cause & effect analysis, oversee SOP development and summarize recommendations using PowerPoint Presentations.

Role Accountabilities:
- Lead process improvement initiatives and develop supporting procedures including coordinating requirements for work sampling/ time & motion studies, evaluating data from observations/ system data analysis to determine root cause and effect and summarize findings following paretto analysis principles
- Conduct Kaizen Workshops including facilitation of training sessions, creation of summary reports and executive summaries on data analysis findings and complete follow up on tasks from workshop takeaways
- Perform end-to-end Process Design and improvement related to process function, reliability and future state development by evaluating and validating summary data to identify improvement opportunities and summarize recommendations and trends/ patterns derived from data into a quantitative format. Review and report measurements / analytical findings to Improvement Teams.
- Manage rollout of Improvement Project Pilot Initiatives through assigned process monitoring and diagnostic data collection via systems analysis or direct observation support. Accurately validate and summarize data, identifying additional improvement opportunities. Support the development of training materials and requirements as well as manage process hand-off to designates, ensuring effective and timely project implementation resulting in measureable performance improvements

Job Qualifications:   
  •  - Post secondary education in Industrial or Process Engineer / Technology
    - 5 - 7 years Industrial / Process Engineering experience including process design, process improvement, methods analysis, time & motion studies, work sampling, and data analysis in a retail, automotive, aerospace or supply chain work environment
    - Ability to evaluate and analyze complex data and determine appropriate course of action towards objectives.
    - Proficient at both Written and Oral Communication skills
    - Well versed in Lean Manufacturing principles and methodology or Six sigma Certification
    - Advanced skills of MS Office applications, in particular WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT
    - Highly developed technical writing skills
    - 1-3 years of project management experience
