Role:   
Located in our Regional office, this exciting and challenging role would be responsible for providing professional Administrative Support to the Senior Team Leads through the management of contracting requirements for North Central Alberta Child and Family Services Authority, Region 7. This support addresses all programs and services for Children?s Services and may include Prevention and Family Intervention Programs, Residential Resources, Child Care and consulting needs of the Region.

This position is essential to meet the demands of a very integral component of service delivery to address the varied needs of the area offices and presenting clients. Working independently, responsibilities involve preparation of contracts, preparing invoices, reconciling payments, monitoring contract compliance and processing a variety of financial documents to ensure monies entitled are received or billed accordingly in a timely manner providing for an efficient day-to-day operation of the Contract Unit. Working with the Contract/Program Specialists and other Contract Administration Support staff, this position is fundamental for the contract unit in support of the programs and services provided to the Region.

The Contract Administrator must work independently and show initiative in adapting to an unpredictable environment. The successful candidate must be able to assess the sensitivity of individual situations, and act accordingly. Originality, creativity, strong administrative, communication, interpersonal and decision making skills are required, along with knowledge of the public sector activities, programs and services. The successful candidate will also be required to have a full working knowledge of Microsoft programs. Working knowledge of CMAS (Contract Management Administration System) is preferred.

   
Qualifications:
High school diploma and two years related experience. Equivalencies will be considered on a one for one basis (one year of experience for one year of education).

Salary:$1,582.24 to $1,933.21 bi-weekly

Final candidates for this position will be asked to provide an Intervention Record check. The successful candidate will require a valid Alberta Driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle as travel will be required.
