We are looking for a temporary HR Administrator to join our HR Team for a 15 month contract. In this role, your main responsibilities will be providing administrative support to the Human Resources team in our Waterloo location.
The responsibilities of this position will include:
Employee Records:
• Setting up and maintaining employee files (entering new hires, employee changes, training records, updating the performance management system).
• Compile monthly tracking reports.
• Performing other administrative tasks as required.
Benefits Administration:
• Includes maintaining our system with our benefits provider as well as additional projects such as lunch & learns, employee benefits orientation as well as promotional communications from our EAP provider.
Recruitment Support:
• Posting job ads both internally and externally in a timely manner.
• Coordinating schedules and arranging interviews.
• Conducting reference checks and education verifications.
• Preparing orientation packages for new employees and setting up orientation training.
Employee Activities:
• Head United Way Workplace Fundraising Campaign.
• Organize quarterly Employee Photo contest.
• Make updates and posts on Teledyne DALSA social media resources.
The qualifications required for this position include:
• A college diploma in human resources or business.
• Administrative experience.
• High level of attention-to-detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to work successfully in a fast paced environment.
• Superior communication skills.
• Experience with MS Office, (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
