Position Overview:
As the Plant Manager reporting to the Production Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing operational leadership for our Feed and Nutrition facility in Camrose, AB. You will provide exceptional Customer Solutions including: EH&S and operational excellence; lead and coach operations team; ensure optimal product quality; Profit & Loss Accountability; capital expenditures, manufacturing costs and operating efficiencies.

You will learn and be accountable for Cargill's management practices around engineering design, inventory management, scheduling, quality control, food safety, customer service, cost, personnel management, and safety practices. You will also have the opportunity to learn about other functions within the business which include meeting with customers as well as administrative training in the areas of merchandising, pricing, accounting formulation and nutrition.

Principal Accountabilities:
25% - Leadership: coaching, performance management and engagement of all employees to build a high performing team;; implementation of Business Unit strategy including people development and champion recognition; collaborate effectively with experienced teams and disciplines; lead by example to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and company policies

25% - Operational Excellence: effective operations management including product quality, maintenance reliability & energy management, innovation, efficiencies & best practices.

20% - Customer Solutions & Innovation: focus on continuous improvement and process management and cost efficiencies to support positive customer experiences

15% - EHS Leadership: ensure compliance and commitment to policies, procedures, and regulations. Provide direction, training, and coaching to all employees

15% - Project management: business compliancewith capital planning and Profit &Loss; develop & meet budgets; develop capital spending requests & project management; aggressively & proactively manage operating expenses

Skills:
Required:
    3 years supervisory experience in a feed mill or similar industry OR 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
    Proven effectiveness in coaching, motivating and developing high performing individuals and teams with the ability to lead a diverse workforce
    Demonstrated high emotional intelligence and change management capabilities
    Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. with the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization
    Demonstrated relentless determination and courage; strong execution skills; results-oriented; expertise in process management and project management; change leadership; resiliency
    Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on a non-temporary basis

Preferred:
    Bachelor's degree preferably in Animal Science, Business, or Engineering
    Operational and technical skills & Maintenance Reliability processes
    Experience with lean manufacturing disciplines
    HACCP and Quality Assurance expertise
    Working knowledge with SAP
