Summary:
The Accpac Systems Administrator will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and support of the General Ledger System – Accpac.
Responsibilities:
Application Maintenance
Perform Accpac application administrative tasks including: company set up, GL structure set up, cheque printing set up and other application maintenance.
Provide an exceptional level of customer service and support to the hotels’ accounting teams and corporate financial departments. Keep users informed about any system updates / changes using clear and timely communication.
Update financial reports ensuring their accuracy and completeness.
Update and support Accpac Excel Import Templates.
Maintain user access privileges and coordinate user security reviews.
Perform data extracts using SQL queries.
Diagnose and resolve issues with the application functionality, reports, data and interfaces. Escalate complex problems to next level of support as appropriate.
Provide user training and ongoing maintenance of user guide material. Organize and conduct user training sessions.
Participate in Accpac system upgrades and modifications by performing system testing, data verification and providing business unit functional support.
Communicate regularly with hotel and corporate finance teams to understand user needs and to ensure system requirements are met.
Identify and recommend system enhancements to improve system functionalities and financial processes.
Maintain strong internal controls around all financial systems administrative tasks.
Application Infrastructure
Perform Accpac software installation and configuration including creation and configuration of the SQL databases.
Install and configure cheque printing software – PrintBoss.
Install and configure Accpac interface programs.
Perform Accpac system recovery and data restores.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of accounting systems and their functionality. Experience in the support and maintenance of AccPac would be an asset.
Basic knowledge of Crystal Reports.
Knowledge of SQL database and queries.
Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite including intermediate/advance knowledge of Excel.
Basic knowledge of financial concepts and accounting processes.
Working knowledge of IT processes and best practice.
Excellent customer service and communication skills as this position will support and have contact with users at different levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong organizational skills with emphasis to detail.
Bilingualism an asset.
