This position is accountable for supporting cost effective procurement/contracting of products and services while achieving or exceeding customer and business requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Procurement activities for several commodities, supporting customers of all major business units across a broad geographic area, on a national and worldwide basis.
- Implements the organization’s strategic and tactical plans while driving action across functions, business units and the Blue Box.
- Acts as a key cost and business management resource to the procurement organization, customer organization, and senior management across multiple functions, divisions and geographic locations.
- Leads by example to motivate cross-functional team members to achieve team objectives in supplier/market analysis, utilizing unique procurement practices/tools to capitalize on business opportunities.
- Principal responsibility for self-development in all facets of business skills, processes, and procurement contractual knowledge/application to support business unit, national, or worldwide business/commodity strategies as well as complex contracts and negotiations.
Qualifications
- 3 + years in Procurement experience.
- Administration, Engineering or Accounting is desirable.
- 100% English required
- Strong Knowledge of
a. RFP, RFI, RFQ Development, Implementation and Closing
b. Benchmarking
c. Reverse auction
d. Spend management and Analysis
e. E- procurement ( Such as SAP, BAAN, PS, Oracle, Ariba, e-IBM, @HP among others)
f. Procurement Competitive Intelligence
g. CBA – and Procurement SPOA methodology (or similar)
h. Cost Build-up
i. Supplier Risk assessment
j. Strategic Outsourcing (Procurement Due Diligence and Bid Implementation)
k. Procurement of Software/Licensing/Intellectual Property/Design Specific Hardware
l. Due Diligence process (Vendor Health Analysis) Dun and Bradstreet process (or similar)
m. Comprehensive knowledge of business principles such as purchasing, quality, materials logistics management, business/contract law, licensing, leasing, finance and accounting.
n. Frequent contacts with internal/external customers and other company representatives at all levels of management including senior management to negotiate complex business issues. Contacts require a balance of assertiveness, tact, and diplomacy.
o. Strong interpersonal, oral/presentation, computer, and writing skills are required to conduct daily activities. PC skills must include ability to use spreadsheet, database management and statistical applications.
