GCC Labs:
GCC Labs is behind the prize-winning ChargeCentre: a portable cell-phone charger for bars and restaurants, allowing them to offer free phone charging to guests, at tables or the bar, and eliminate the pain of a dead phone. Having recently won a $30,000 top prize at the Queen's University Summer Innovation Initiative, GCC Labs accepted an internship at the PEC Innovation Centre. This startup accelerator helped the million dollar plus buyout of online group-buying site FoodScrooge.com and is now a part of our mentorship team.

The Position:
GCC Labs is looking to add a full-time member to our leadership team. We need a high-capacity individual to join at the partner level to help us commercialize our flagship product: the ChargeCentre.

Your responsibilities will vary day-to-day as required, but could include:
- production and manufacturing management
- managing supply chain and procurement
- concept level circuit design
- product design improvements
- promotions and marketing
- sales
- finances and bookkeeping
- and other tasks as required

Skills and Expertise:
As an early stage startup, we're looking for well-rounded individuals who are able to juggle whatever ball is in their court, and also recognize their own limitations. You should be able to see the difference between tasks where you can self-educate and learn required skills versus those where outside support is needed.

Compensation:
Compensation will be largely performance based. Initially, a $9000 living stipend is available for the first 6 months work. Future compensation is to be negotiated and based on company-wide sales performance. Equity-based compensation is also available.

We have access to funding and office space in both Picton and Kingston, or you can work from home, depending on your preference. We're entering a 6 month internship at the PEC Innovation Centre business incubator in Picton so as a result you should work in Picton at least 2 days a week, scheduling is flexible.
