POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be involved in performing functional, integration and regression testing of the Prevention and Cancer Control Information Program (PCCIP). In addition, the Senior Quality Analyst will be involved in assessing and analyzing data quality and developing processes and supports for ongoing testing for PCCIP. The incumbent will play a key role in liaising with Users, Vendors, Team Leads, Project Managers and various other departments within Cancer Care Ontario.  This role will report to the QA Team Lead with support provided by the Product Manager for the Prevention and Screening Information Program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The key responsibilities of this position are;
·         Define the processes and procedures required to ensure an acceptable level of application and data quality

·         Work in collaboration with business stakeholders and project team members to gather and prepare testing requirements.

·         Review, analyze, enhance existing and develop new testing artifacts, including:

o  Test Strategy & Test Plan

o  Test Scenarios

o  Test Cases with expected outcomes

o  Test Scripts

o  Procedures

·         Prepare test data addressing complete set of test cases.

·         Perform Functional, Integration, Systems, Regression, Performance and Load testing.

·         Execute test cases during testing cycles and at all relevant project milestones.

·         Participate in walkthroughs of Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) and Business Requirements Definition (BRD) documents

·         Report defects and follow through their resolution lifecycle.

·         Identify, mitigate and communicate testing and QA risks.

·         Communicate to the Test Lead progress and status of test planning and execution.

·         Ensure deliverables are met when deadlines are required from the Test Lead and Project Managers 

·         Participate in all phases of the project life cycle and promote Quality Assurance's best practices and standard

·         Follow the processes as laid out by the Integrated Test Plan;

·         Follow the Project Group's project methodology

·         Leverage any QA and testing processes or activities from the chosen system Vendor

·         Validate concurrence on business requirements by providing a metric for achievement of project objectives; and the resolution of the business problem on an event by event basis

·         Work with business and technical personnel (i.e. Development, IT Operations) to troubleshoot and resolve defects and issues quickly and efficiently.

·         Participate in pre-implementation reviews with Development and IT Operations.


QUALIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS:
·         An undergraduate degree in computer science and technology or recognized equivalent, is required.  Certification in ITIL and CSQA preferred.

·         Minimum of 5 years’ experience in QA methodologies, testing, and development/execution of test plan, test cases and test scripts.

·         Minimum of 5 years’ experience with ETL and Data warehouse

·         Minimum of 5 years of QA experience with SQL scripting.

·         Mandatory - minimum of 2 years of Siebel experience.

·         Hands on experience with creation/execution of test cases combined with defect management/coordination.

·         Good understanding of IT infrastructure.

·         Excellent working knowledge of data analysis using SQL queries.

·         Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills are a must.

·         Experience with ETL/MicroStrategy, Data Warehouse and back end Data Validation.

·         Sound knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle database back end testing.

·         Technical proficiency in Siebel/CRM, Reporting and ODS environments is required

·         Strong interpersonal skills.

·         Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills

·         A team player capable of working independently on assigned tasks and ability to meet tight deadlines.

·         Excellent knowledge with test tools such as HP Quality Centre/ Test Director, QTP and Load Runner

·         Experience in understanding data integration requirements, HL7 messaging, tools and technologies including data warehouse

·         Experience with LAN/WAN networking technologies, Sun Solaris, Windows Servers, Oracle, SQL Server, MS Office, MS Project, HL7, and MS Visio.
