Plant Manager – Biola NutriAg USA Ltd. is a world leader in Agriscience, dedicated to the research, development, manufacture and marketing of state of the art crop nutrients and spray adjuvants. NutriAg offers a wide range of environmentally responsible agricultural chemicals and plant nutrients used for crops. NutriAg is looking for the best and brightest to join our team. We currently have an opening for a Plant Manager in Biola, California.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Directing and coordinating all operations of the production plant.
Planning, facilitating and executing a strategy for successful operations
Advising and supporting the plant supervisors, warehouse staff and administrative staff.
Ensuring the performance of the plant is effective in attaining the targets set by the company.
Measuring and evaluating the performance of the warehouse staff, including supervisors.
Manage all Engineering projects ( capital and continuous improvements ).
Manage Maintenance department.
KEY OBJECTIVES:
Promote and balance cost efficiency in the production process while maintaining superior service levels.
Develop and mentor the warehouse staff to emphasize excellence in service, efficiency and high performance.
Promote a safe and secure working environment.
Direct and Coordinate all Operations of the Production Plant
Plan and Facilitate Production Strategy
Lead the development of department goals, objectives, and systems.
Oversee the implementation of the approved strategy prepared to increase the cost efficiency and service level of the traffic department.
Develop and monitors an annual budget for plant.
Actively work to reduce productions expenses and costs to improve organizational profitability.
Identify opportunities for improvement and resolves any discrepancies
Oversee and manage the work of the Production Supervisor and Warehouse Supervisor.
Prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
Participate in executive, management, and Company staff meetings and attend meetings and seminars.
Select and supervise employees to ensure they are meeting the Company requirements.
Monitor attendance of all employees and correct any problematic behavior.
Coach individual employees where there are areas of improvement and conduct employee reviews.
Prepare work orders and assist with inventory management.
Manage all aspects of health and safety as it relates to the plant.
Assist the Quality manager with any investigations and quality reports.
Maintain the preventative maintenance program and oversee the maintenance of all plant equipment and machinery.
Cover for the Supervisor role when the Supervisor is absent.
REQUIREMENTS:
5 years + experience in plant management
Strong communications skills.
Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on plant and business processes.
Able to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles.
A clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization.
Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
Salary range $60K – $85K+ plus comprehensive benefits package.
