Research Associate – MB    We are looking for a motivated self-starter who will champion our Product Discovery department of our research and development division. Reporting directly to the Director of Research and Technology, the Research Associate will be responsible for protocol development and product screening, for lab, growth chamber and the field research program. The successful candidate will also provide leadership and direction in the development of new and innovative fertilizer technologies to better serve the agronomic needs of the targeted market. Some of the responsibilities will include;

Design and conducting growth chamber and field experiments investigating the impact of the newly-developed ATP products on growth of plants and absorption of nutrients.
Testing of various growths-promoting compounds (e.g., biostimulants) on seed germination and seedling development.
Expertise in zinc (and other micronutrient) nutrition.
Collaborate and communicate with the international research community.
Analysis of plant samples, collected from the trials for different organic and inorganic compounds such as mineral nutrients, chlorophyll, carbohydrates/sugars etc.
Development of monthly technical factsheets on key topics of plant nutrition, to be distributed to crop consultants and strategic partners across Canada.

Strong communication skills will be required to interact with the different market segments. A minimum of 10 years of research experience is required for this role. This is a full time permanent position located in Oak Bluff, Manitoba.
