Through our 41 locations throughout B.C. and provincial office in Vancouver, the BC SPCA provides a wide range of services and programs to help nearly 29,000 animals in distress and need each year.
The BC SPCA is recruiting for a full-time Call Centre Operator at our Victoria Call Centre. The position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and accurate and timely advice and information as a call centre operator engaging in inbound and outbound calls to and from the public and internal stakeholders.
The Call Centre Operator is also responsible for, amongst other things, entering animal cruelty complaints, handling general enquiries and transferring calls within the BC SPCA. In addition, the individual may be required to provide administrative support to various BC SPCA departments.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six months experience working in a high volume call centre environment. The candidate is committed to professionalism and excellence in customer service. The successful candidate has demonstrated excellent oral and written communications skills as well as being able to react quickly, logically, efficiently and calmly in emergency situations.
The candidate will display exceptional prioritizing and multi-tasking in an emergency, priority driven environment and is able to remain flexible and adaptable in an every changing work environment while contributing to the teams goals.
Experience working or volunteering with animals and knowledge of British Columbia geography is an asset.
