The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the direct management and handling of all warehousing and distribution functions at the organizations warehouse facilities. This includes accountability for Receiving, Production, Shipping, Quality and Inventory Departments.
The Warehouse Manager will accomplish effective oversight through strong leadership and decision making skills.
1. Manage the various departments of: Receiving, Production, Inventory, Shipping and Quality.
2. Ensure all orders are processed and shipped in a timely manner.
3. Communicate all delays or variances to all necessary parties.
4. Maintain strict control over inventory levels in order to meet internal and external demand of product.
5. Develop process flows, train, and implement to create increased efficiencies.
6. Supervise a team of warehouse employees, including hiring, delegation, training, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions and up to and including termination.
7. Identify discrepancies between inventory records and take action
8. Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters, make adjustments where necessary
