Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Demand Planner will be to ensure the continuity of supply of finished goods for all assigned Loveland products to Crop Production Services and UAP Canada. This person will interact with Loveland manufacturing facilities, third party product suppliers, product management, and Sales Support in the management of the day to day supply chain of Loveland products.

Responsibilities:
Review customer/demand requirements, analyze supply situation and provide demand & supply status to Sales Support and management.
Lead the field forecasting process to determine demand for Loveland products
Communicate demand to assigned 3rd Party Suppliers
Place blanket purchase orders as required with 3rd Party Suppliers
Collaborate with manufacturing facility personnel to develop a Master Product Schedule (MPS)
Monitor demand exceptions and take corrective action
Keep up-to-date on issues relating to early order programs and new product introduction
Load and maintain MPS into Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) for assigned products if required
Serve as primary point of contact for Production Schedulers at Loveland Plants
Assist in resolving supply and demand issues between suppliers and Loveland Sales Support
Update order fulfillment on product availability and future availability
Participate in monthly S&OP process/meeting
Plan and execute the procurement and delivery of designated materials, packaging, and labels to Loveland and/or toll manufacturing facilities
Determine purchasing priorities and economic order quantities
Populate and maintain assigned purchasing/vendor information
Assist Accounts Payable and Account Receivable in resolving variances
Routinely interact with IT on system and process improvements
Work to increase inventory turns where possible
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or diploma in Agricultural Business, Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain
Relevant experience in planning, scheduling, forecasting or purchasing in an Ag related area; minimum of 3-5 years
A Highly motivated, self-starter with a positive attitude
Team player that works well both independently, as well as with others
Customer Service focused with strong interpersonal skills
Experience using AS400 computer software would be an asset
Proficiency with spreadsheets, functional databases and enterprise wide software applications
Solid understanding of supply chain concepts and processes including WIP
Must be organized with strong time management, analytical, and negotiating skills
Ability to travel in North America
