Specific responsibilities include:
Leads and manages facility assets and all aspects of daily operations
Coordinates ordering of fertilizer, seed, chemical
Ensure proper Pesticide dispensers and Bulk Seed facility operating licensing requirements are up to date
Support and mentor the employee personal & career development process and conduct annual performance review in line with CPS’s core values
Continued education on the development of agricultural products/services
Advocate CPS company corporate decisions and communications
Assists with building key relationships with suppliers & community
Ensure all sales staff are promoting the key CPS products to maximize sales & profits
Oversee all inventory levels including coordinating orders with CPS purchasing staff
Qualifications of the position include:
Minimum 4 years demonstrated experience in vocational, agricultural or combination in supervisory, education, and work experience
Agriculture diploma or degree desired
Possesses CCA or PAg designation or working towards achieving it
Ability to meet the CPS policy requirements by completing a Criminal background check, Drug/alcohol testing, and Driving record abstract
Minimum 2-3 years supervisory experience
Valid Driver’s License
Strong time management, planning and superior multi-tasking skills
Excellent communication and people skills, both written and oral
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Conducts themselves in a professional manner, and able to keep information confidential
Proficient use of computer programs to include Excel, Word, Outlook
Ability to work in a fast paced work environment and available to work extended hours in busy season
