Position Description:   
- Provide coaching and support to Managers and Supervisors regarding Human Resources policies, practices and performance management

- Lead workplace investigations and navigate labour relations issues in accordance with collective bargaining agreement

- Provide HR support and assistance to hourly and salaried employees

- Manage the recruitment process for hourly and salary vacancies

- Define and implement process improvements, tools and technology to enhance the HR processes

- Facilitate training and coaching to various employee groups including new employee orientation

- Support and lead where appropriate cross-functional project teams

Preferred Hiring Criteria

Years Exp:    1 - 2 years
Education:    College - 1 or 2 year program    
Travel:    No travel
Additional Language:    None         

- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business, Commerce or a related discipline

- CHRP designation preferred

- 3-5 years of working HR experience, preferably in a unionized manufacturing environment; good knowledge of Manitoba employment legislation and labour relations practices; and working knowledge of HR trends and practices

- Additional languages and/or experience working in a multi-cultural setting a strong asset

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Highly developed organizational and time management skills

- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word , Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required; knowledge of SAP and asset
