As a result of an upcoming vacancy, the Municipality of Grey Highlands is presently receiving applications to fill one (1) vacancy for the position of Human Resources Coordinator & Assistant to the CAO. Reporting directly to the CAO, the successful candidate will perform duties in accordance to departmental and corporate priorities, and those outlined in the job description.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Advising and supporting management and employees in matters related to recruitment and selection, training and development, labour relations, compensation, policy administration, and health and safety.
Ensuring the corporation is in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005.
Providing support to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) with respect to corporate communications, critical issues management, and administrative support as required. This position involves handling issues of a highly sensitive and confidential nature.
The ideal candidate will possess the following education, skills & abilities:
University degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline, accompanied by a current recognized CHRP designation (or in progress).
A minimum of three (3) years experience directly related Human Resource management, preferably within a Municipal setting. Previous experience in corporate communications, public relations, and/or marketing would be considered an asset.
Valid G Driver’s License.
Ability to work flexible hours as required in order to accommodate business needs during busy cycles, vacation periods, etc.
