The School of Business at MacEwan University is seeking to fill one full time faculty position with a passion for teaching and lifelong learning within the two-year Human Resources Management diploma program. Located in Edmonton, Alberta, MacEwan is a comprehensive undergraduate university with a student body of 11,700 full time equivalents (over 15,000 students) enrolled on four campuses. The School of Business offers certificates, two-year diplomas and four-year applied and baccalaureate degrees to over 3,000 full time equivalents (3,800 students).

MacEwan School of Business fosters close relationships with employer and professional groups to provide opportunities for faculty and student engagement and direct feedback on curriculum. MacEwan business students graduate with the technical competency and the professional skills to work in teams, communicate effectively and to be prepared for success in pursuing employment, industry designations and graduate school.

Candidates must possess a related Master’s degree, a CHRP or IPMA professional designation (or be eligible to pursue designation), and a minimum of five years’ experience as a human resources practitioner. A directly related doctoral degree will be considered an asset. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, as well as professional expertise in the areas of compensation and/or employee relations will also be viewed as assets. Evidence of superior teaching experience is also a requirement.

This position is included under the MacEwan Faculty Association Collective Agreement.
