We are currently recruiting for a Manager to join our Banking & Capital Markets Advisory practice, based in Toronto, Canada. We are seeking professionals with strong skills and a background in strategy development (e.g. corporate, business, customer and product), business operations, channel management and marketing.
As a management consulting professional you will be key in helping our clients:
* Demonstrate product knowledge, including but not limited to exchange traded, OTC derivatives, fixed income, FX, wholesale lending. Product knowledge should be around the traded markets, front to back trade processes (trade capture, confirmations, operations, clearing, settlement, margin, operational booking and reporting), valuation and funding
* Involvement in the identification of cost reduction opportunities across the trade lifecycle, definition and build out of target state operating models and knowledge of the software that supports the trading functions.
* Demonstrate working knowledge of the recent regulatory reforms (Dodd Frank Title VII, Volker, Basel III) and their impact on the capital markets business, operations and profitability.
* Ideal candidate has experience balanced across capital markets trading operations and consulting.
* Identify and manage their most valuable customers to increase operational efficiency and enhance performance;
* Define and plan effective execution of their strategic direction and vision; and
* Advise client executives on customer acquisition and retention strategies as well as how to translate corporate strategy and business insights into change.

Education
* Undergraduate degree
* MBA, post-graduate degree and/or a professional designation
Requirements
* Minimum 6 years of relevant industry experience and/or strategy and/or operations management consulting experience
* Strong background within Financial Services
* Strong focus on and commitment to professional and client service excellence
* Proactive planning and management skills developed through consistent career progression
* Quick learner and self-starter who is able to work independently with minimal direction and supervision, as well as within a team
* Ability to think strategically and systematically, with strong critical-thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills in order to identify key issues and recommend clearly defined solutions and/or responses
* Proactive and logical approach to information gathering, with an ability to synthesize complex ideas and present information clearly and effectively
* Results-oriented is a must, with an eye for detail and the ability to be effective in a hands-on role, continually looking for what is best for the client
* Experience in structuring, organizing and managing complex projects, with a proven track record of successful project completion and a demonstrated ability to manage client communications and expectations
* Strong leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
* Highest standards of personal and professional integrity and judgment, with an ability to work with sensitive and confidential information
* Ability to travel for business, when applicable. Candidates must also be able to enter the United States to work on client assignments
