Ernst &Young's Human Capital - Talent & Reward practice help clients address core HR strategic and operational issues that support their organization's profitability, performance and compliance. Our multi-disciplinary integrated team of actuaries, human resource and tax professionals provide specialized services in the areas of pension, benefits, talent, tax and compensation.
We are currently seeking a Senior Staff to join our pension and actuarial services. The Senior Staff will work on technical aspects of actuarial engagements while ensuring client needs are met. This professional will apply project management expertise and technical and professional knowledge to ensure that the quality of engagement work products and project deliverables are of the highest quality.
Responsibilities
* Be responsible for actuarial engagements relating to pension audit support, mergers and acquisitions, pension valuation work and other pension advisory services.
* Participate in the overall and day-to-day technical and business aspects of client projects to ensure the quality of engagement work products, solutions, and deliverables for clients.
* Identify, define, develop and implement techniques to improve engagement productivity, increase efficiencies, mitigate risks, and address issues for clients. Contribute to the attainment of group and individual goals by sharing knowledge, indentifying business opportunities, monitoring engagement performance and productivity and facilitating teamwork.
* Identify opportunities for EY actuarial and other specialty services.
To qualify, candidates must have:
* a minimum of 2 to 3 years of progressive pension actuarial experience
* previous accounting and/or valuation experience preferred
* in progress of attaining FCIA / FSA
* strong project management skills within a professional environment
* ability to share knowledge and motivate team as well as initiative to stay abreast of current trends and technical advancements
* excellent verbal and written communication skills
* the flexibility to travel, when necessary
