The Information Technology team develops and maintains Bell’s internal systems and applications while also developing integrated technology solutions for customers across all lines of business.

The team manages Bell’s IT Infrastructure and the service availability of over 700 applications, including mission critical billing and service systems. The IT delivery teams drive the IT Work Program with over 60% of IT capital invested in initiatives that support business unit priorities and Bell’s strategic imperatives.

The Role:
The Bell IT Contracts team is accountable to optimize the portfolio for IT outsourcing, software/hardware maintenance and application support contracts, to drive cost savings within that portfolio, and to manage the vendor relationships.

The successful candidate will work alongside a Senior Manager – IT Outsourcing and will partner with other IT teams as well as vendors. We require a highly motivated individual, who can apply creativity, initiative and innovation in a constantly changing and exciting environment.

The JR Project Manager – IT Outsourcing will report to the Senior Manager – IT Outsourcing.

Key Responsibilities:
    Partner with various IT, Business, Procurement and Legal teams to develop/define requirements and collect data for use in support of IT Outsourcing negotiations
    Serve as a liaison to the Contract Management team, Procurement, IT Operations, Subject Matter Experts and other internal Bell teams
    Manage projects and timelines for the preparation ahead of contractual discussions
    Manage projects and timelines for in transition-in and/or transition-out activities
    Project Management skill i.e. Co-ordinate various projects by arranging meetings, following up on issues and signoffs, producing status documentation and meeting minutes and informing team members of decisions made.
    Assist in development of project documentation, including but not limited to helping with high level plan, feasibility analysis and in development of the business case
    Demonstrate technical writing abilities to document requirements, i.e. writing, proof reading, and updating resources to achieve project deliverables
    Take on leadership responsibilities for major projects or initiatives as requested
    Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
    Understand, communicate & document contractual information

Critical Competencies:
    Solid understanding of IT Infrastructure
    Team player with a strong focus on interpersonal and leadership abilities
    Excellent written and verbal communication, strong grasp of English, French a benefit
    The ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and translate them for various audiences
    Ability to analyze results, identify issues, and develop recommendation/processes
    Meticulous attention to details
    Ability to handle multiple projects, concurrent projects and shifting priorities
    Comfortable working at different levels of the organization
    Self Starter with high degree of initiative and energy level
    Intermediate/Advanced skills in Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Projects)
    Some overtime or weekend work may be required to meet project timelines.
