Bell Canada’s Finance End-to-End team forms part of the overall finance team reporting to the VP Finance Improvement and Controls within the controller organization. The mission of the Finance End-to-End team is to leverage Bell’s investment in its core financial systems, improve business processes, increase operational efficiency and stimulate innovation. The team his accountable for multiple process and systems improvement initiatives across the finance organization.

The team’s main responsibilities is to optimize the company’s exploitation of SAP and related financial systems, review and improve financial processes and governance and address opportunities to resolve issues in financial and reporting processes.

The role:
This position reports to the director – Finance End-to-End, and will be assigned to various initiatives across different areas of Finance. The position will work closely with the Information Technology (IT) and Finance Support teams as well as the financial user community.

Key responsibilities:
    The main responsibilities include:
    Documenting and/or reviewing reporting requirements and understanding the magnitude of the proposed changes on upstream and downstream reporting systems (SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP BPC, etc.)
    Reviewing the proposed system solutions to accommodate new reporting requirements and assessing the impact to Bell’s financial processes
    Partnering with business stakeholders and other project work streams to incorporate their accounting and process changes into an overall technical solution
    Acting as the integration point for projects impacting SAP BW and SAP BPC for the Finance community
    Working with Bell IT and outsourcing resources to design and implement system changes
    Participating in testing, training and change management activities

Critical Competencies:
    University degree in Finance, Managed Information Systems or IT related degree with a business option.
    Knowledge of SAP systems: ECC (including CO-PA), BW, and BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation for NetWeaver toolset
    Ability to work with virtual teams
    Ability to handle multiple streams of work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    Analytical, meticulous and conscientious.
    Strong organizational and planning skills.
    Excellent problem solving skills
    Expertise in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Competencies:
   
Bilingual
    Experience with systems development.
    Experience with Visual Basic programming for Applications (MS Excel)
    Knowledge of financial consolidation accounting and/or consolidation systems
