Shell is currently seeking an ASSET PROJECT MANAGER to work in its Projects and Technology Organization at its Groundbirch and Gundy Locations.

Responsibilities:
The Project Manager has single point accountability for the safe and Top Quartile (TQ) delivery of all surface facility & infrastructure projects associated with development of the Groundbirch and Gundy Assets. Accountabilities encompass all Opportunity Realisation Process (ORP) phases, from Identify & Assess through completion of Execution.
For a portfolio of projects, accountable for HSE, cost, schedule, quality performance and reporting, driving delivery to TQ
Accountable for Fit-for-Purpose application of Opportunity Realisation Manual (ORM) / Project Delivery Roadmap to all projects
Support the Asset General manager and Development Manager and lead front-end development engineers prior to entering the Define phase of projects
Ensure project staffing is balanced to meet future business needs and support groups resources are secured in a timely fashion
Assure forecasts of Pre-Final Investment Decision(FID) expense / post FID capital funding forecasts are accurate and full control mechanisms are utilised to report
Contract holder for Enterprise Framework Agreement (EFA) for engineering services and accountable for its performance. Accountable for project execution contracting strategies
Ensure robust Project Execution Plans are in place for each project and ensure on-time engineering deliverables to sites
Apply improvement initiatives/learnings across the portfolio (especially those relating to Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) & detailed design) to deliver a program of continuous improvement to drive top quartile and goal zero safety performance including lessons learned.
Single point accountability for all Project related activities for the assigned asset and core member of Asset Leadership Team.
Annual Budget: Capital expenditures $250-$500mln, with projected growth in subsequent years.
Reports: 3-6 direct reports, each with 5-8 direct reports, plus multiple engineering contractors. Contract Holder for major Engineering and procurement contract.
Key interfaces: Engineering Contractors, Construction manager, Front End manager, Operational Site Teams, Asset General Manager and Development Manager, Functional support peers. Accountable for delivery across all ORM phases, including newly developing Exploration plays within the asset

Requirements:
Education requirements: Minimum Bachelor of Engineering Degree
Years of experience: 20+ years, in relevant Oil and gas Operations and project Delivery.
Track record of delivery as leader and project manager on safety and cost/schedule. Strong preference for experience in Unconventional E&P Technologies and portfolio management. Ability to foresee risks and work effectively with Venture, Wells and Operations organizations. Desire to drive TQ performance across their portfolio
Project management in a rapidly expanding business; developing efficient solutions with data limitations. Effectively working across skill pools and organisations (e.g. with construction superintendents, project services team, development engineers, ventures, operations) to ensure delivery. Effective management of project risks. Integrate operational requirements and philosophies into the project execution. Operational sites have complex external stakeholder relationships which need to be included in overall project management and day to day project execution.
Proven expertise in leading project organizations toward top quartile project performance and delivering this against a Goal Zero Safety platform .
Skilled in applying Shell’s Opportunity Realisation Manual, project controls and assurance processes and a soild working knowledge of Shell’s project assurance guides and standards.
Track record of leading successful delivery of detail design and implementation of shale gas projects , in particular wellpad, pipeline facilities and gas processing plants demonstrating experience in the project skills needed to safely and cost effectively deliver a portfolio of projects in a an environment where project sequencing and prioritization can be very dynamic.
A track record of driving lean execution and continuous improvement in project capital efficiency.
