Manager, People and Change:
The People and Change team helps our clients manage complex cross-functional initiatives to achieve sustainable change within their enterprise and meet their business objectives. We also help organizations develop effective HR functions and the people programs they need to meet their business objectives.
We leverage and partner with our firm’s advisory capabilities across a broad range of disciplines including: Business Transformation, Finance, Operations, Capital Projects, Supply Chain, and Technology – including ERP. Our approach leverages the latest thinking about change and is tailored to our clients’ unique needs, as each situation is different. Requirements:
The role of a Manager in the People and Change practice will include:
Project Delivery – Ottawa is a Federal Practice and supports a National Practice with other types of industries
Using an established change framework, develop and deliver people and change strategies along with implementation plans to ensure the success of our clients’ change initiatives;
Support HR transformation through implementation of service models such as shared services and sourcing;
Assist clients in identifying structural implications of their function or organization, assess root causes of their organizational issues, and design structural solutions for their work force;
Develop communication strategies and plans to support implementation and delivery of large organization and business transformation projects;
Provide on-going advice and assistance to clients on the risks and issues associated with complex organizational change and formulate mitigation strategies;
Manage project based change teams in the production of quality deliverables on time and on budget;
Develop project plans and budgets for change management work streams and team members; and
Ensure our deliverables meet client expectations and our standards for quality.
Business Development:
Develop and maintain relationships with senior leaders and decision makers at key clients;
Contribute to the pursuit of client work and the development of proposals by providing innovative approaches and techniques; and
Team with PwC colleagues in other lines of services to address client needs.
People Development:
Perform role of counselor and coach for junior change practitioners;
Educate peer consultants from other lines of service on how to incorporate change services into our service lines to ensure the success of our clients’ initiatives; and
Develop and deliver people and change intellectual capital and share knowledge across the global PwC network.
Requirements:
Employment is conditional upon you successfully obtaining Federal Government security clearance at the Secret level.
Successful candidates pursuing this role should have at least ten years of professional experience relevant to the role, including five years in management consulting roles. Need federal government experience of 5 years
Security Requirement: Federal Government: Secret
Education: Bachelor’s degree is required
Professional designation such as PMP, CMC, or CA and asset
Master’s degree an asset
Candidates should have a strong track record in supporting complex business and/or technology projects driving change. You should also have a high level of proficiency in the following skills:
Ability to determine strategic change approaches, and develop and articulate a full change plan
Ability to manage and execute full-cycle, cross-functional change engagements
Ability to read and navigate through complex organizational dynamics and use influencing and negotiating skills to create desired outcomes
Ability to manage staff members undertaking communication, training and HR related work tasks in a coordinated project environment
Seasoned leadership, collaboration and facilitation skills
Ability to identify project risks and develop strategies to address these
Sound understanding of the inter-relationship between job design, business processes and technology tools as contributors to organization effectiveness
Sound understanding of how to develop new behaviors in the workforce that support cultural shifts and build business outcomes
Sound understanding of organization effectiveness and HR principles such as engagement and motivation approaches, reward and performance linkages, learning and development, leadership effectiveness, culture change and others
Knowledge of the Federal Government landscape, operating model and policies and processes that govern
