Position Overview:
The position reports to the Senior Trader and is responsible for trading cash and futures positions and contributes to the trading strategies of the office and product lines. The position is responsible to develop and maintain relationships with assigned trading partners and communicating inquiries and offers to the product line. The position is also responsible for reporting daily P&L, monthly estimate and position reporting. The position also contributes to research and projects as required.Core Function:
• Manage cash and futures position under guidance of Commercial Manager.
• Develop and execute trading strategies for cash and futures.
• Maximize returns with futures, and options trading.
• Provide technical analysis to Commercial Manager and Product Lines.
• Trade cash with origination customer base.
• Manage western Canadian hedge book under guidance of Commercial Manager.
• Communicate market information to Product Lines.
• Expand customer base and develop new business.
• Report open grain positions.
• Report P&L and monthly estimate.
• Provide weekly wire on western Canadian Feed Grains.
• Provide analysis for projects.
• Contribute and assist market analysis group as required.Required Competencies:
• Working knowledge of cash, futures and options trading.
• Sales knowledge and negotiations skills.
• Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communications and negotiation skills are a must
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of SAP/GTM.
• Degree in Finance/Business Economics plus minimum two to three years’ experience in commodity marketing; experience in export markets a plus

Skills & Experience Required:
