Reporting to the Assistant Vice-President, Seed and Traits, this Winnipeg-based position will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring Richardson International’s seed program while maximizing logistical opportunities. Responsibilities include processing purchase orders, providing reports and quality assurance support to seed retail locations, assisting in the development and management of annual budgets and forecasts for the seed business. In addition, the qualified candidate will assist in the design, development and implementation of programs/projects that improve profitability and growth of the seed business and assist in evaluation and performance of all new seed products. Travel will be required.
The ideal candidate will have post secondary education in Agriculture and be capable of working independently in a team environment.
Additional requirements include:
excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
ambition, organizational skills; an orientation to accuracy and detail;
interest in ongoing personal skills and competency development, computer experience with MS Word and MS Excel.
Knowledge of seed products and logistics processes, experience in the seed industry and membership or eligibility of membership to the Manitoba Institute of Agrologists are considered assets.
