Conditions of Employment: A satisfactory Adult Abuse Registry Check is also required. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel within the Region. The incumbent must be available to work evenings, weekends and statutory holidays on occasion.

Qualifications:
Essential:
    Post Secondary degree in Social Sciences (preferably BSW).
    Case Management Experience (Including Intakes, Assessments, Service Coordination and Monitoring) in a social service setting.  Other combinations of education and experience may be considered at an underfill or commensurate classification and salary level.
    Demonstrated experience with counselling (including crisis counselling).
    Demonstrated experience conducting vocational assessments.
    Demonstrated ability to work with vulnerable persons.
    Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.
    Demonstrated effective written communication skills.
    Demonstrated effective verbal communication skills.
    Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and organize tasks.
    Demonstrated ability to work as a multi-disciplinary team member.
    Proficient in MS office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Desired:
    Knowledge and experience in developing community resources.
    Knowledge of mandate and services of marketAbilities program.

Duties:
Reporting to the Program Manager, this is a social services position within the Community Service Delivery Division of the Department of Family Services and Labour.  The incumbent in this position provides case management services to individuals with mental, psychiatric and learning disabilities who are accessing the marketAbilities Program.
